San Diego, California (USA) Nelson/Marek designed this daysailer for a Japanese yachtsman. The boat, christened with the name Karen, was built in New Zealand through the combined efforts of Marten Marine and Lloyd Stevenson. The engineering was done by High Modulus. The boat is 36 feet long and weighs 8,200 pounds. The beam is minimal at 6 feet, 11 inches and draft is optimised at 9 feet.
